Infinitum Nihil


Meaning "Infinite Nothing" was described as Johnny Depp's best kept secret, is his production house that has largely been kept away from the public eye. It was founded in 2004 along with his sister Christi Dembrowski and Sam Sarker. The production house has a three-year deal with Graham King’s Initial Entertainment Group. Johnny is expected to Produce and Star in some of the movies that will come out of the production house and currently has films in various stages of development. Barry Levine, Radical Comics is Producer for Infinitum Nihil and Executive Producer for the in development Warner Brothers’ REX MUNDI movie, written by Jim Uhls.

Shantaram Movie Update

Shantaram Directed by Mira Nair goes into Production in September 2008.
The movie is based on the novel written by Gregory David and is based on a true story of the author. The plot deals with the story of an Australian convict Lindsay who escapes from prison Down Under and goes to India. In India he lives in the slums of Mumbai where he gets involved with the underworld and pretends to be a doctor. The story deals with the transition that Lindsay goes through, from Australia to India and ultimately ending up fighting alongside the insurgents in Afghanistan against Russia. Johnny Depp's Infinitum Nihil Production Company bought the rights to the book at a whopping $2 million. Shantaram is due for release in 2009.

Rex Mundi Movie Update

In an article published on August the 13th by MTV Splash. Radical Publishing president Barry Levine, who is co-producing the “Rex Mundi” film with Depps’ Infinitum Nihil production company. Though the mystery in Arvid Nelson’s graphic novels involves the Holy Grail and a descendant of Jesus Christ, screenwriter Jim Uhls has changed the story somewhat. “The second draft is now coming in from Jim,” Levine said, “and Warner Bros. is pretty excited about it. They came up with a couple of names for directors, so now we just need Johnny to look at the list. It all begins and ends with Johnny. He’s got to be happy with the script, and he gave his notes, so we’ll see what happens next.”
